Return to Gatora

J.J., the other Battlers, and his parents have been caught in a whirlpool and washed up on the island of Crocoa, the enemy kingdom of Gatora. And Stalker, Crocoa’s king, enlists the boys’ aid in defeating Predator’s Gatoran army. And J.J.’s asked to lead the army as the general.

At first, it looks like the Crocoans have the advantage — they have military technology from around the world. Unfortunately, their advantage ends when the boys discover that Predator has gotten aid from Liam DiCapa. . . .

NOTES:

  • This book is narrated by J.J., the White Battler.
  • This isn’t the first time the Battlers have aided one kingdom in fighting another one. Remember Book 9?
  • Deyon captures a new Battler Animal — a monkey he names “Clinger.”
  • J.J. captures a new Battler Animal — a killer whale he names “Seastriker.”
  • J.J. and Aaron’s parents, Greg and Regina, get involved in their first major story.
  • Predator, Scala, and Fangorus return in this book!
  • Although Stalker’s name is learned in this book, and he speaks for the first time, this is just a book he returns in. He first debuted in Book 18, but not until near the end of it.
  • Stalker’s wife, Bitena, and his brother, Chompus, debut in this book.
  • Stalker’s son, Gnawbin, is born in the next-to-last chapter of this book.
  • In this book, Greg is revealed to have been stalked by Predator’s father, Jawssius, in the past.
  • At the end of this book, Regina announces she’s pregnant!
  • After just two appearances, Scala meets her demise in this book — and at J.J.’s hands!
