Poisoned City

DiCapa made his first strike against the Battlers when he put Maurice into a coma. He made his second strike when he kidnapped J.J. And now, he plans to make his third strike on the youngest Battler — Aaron.

To make matters worse for the boys, DiCapa’s used his long-awaited poison on the entire city of Alexandria and sickened those who are fifty- to one-hundred-percent Caucasian. And Kesse has been called out for a final battle with his ultimate enemy, Chief Manhunter, in the midst of it all. How are Kesse and the remaining Battlers going to get out of these two messes? . . .

NOTES:

  • This book is narrated by Kesse, the Orange Battler.
  • DiCapa finally uses the poison that was first seen in Book 24.
  • J.J. does not appear in this book, marking the second regular title (excluding the books about Shauna and Diahandra’s journey) that he doesn’t appear in. The first regular title he didn’t appear in was Book 25.
  • Maurice appears in this book after missing out on Book 34, but he is still in his coma.
  • The book is based on a two-part Justice League episode entitled “Fury.” In it, Wonder Woman and Hawkgirl had to stop Aresia, a renegade Amazon, from killing all the men in the world with a deadly poison that only affected them.
  • Regina, J.J. and Aaron’s mother, nearly miscarries in this book.
  • This book marks the end of the feud between Kesse and Chief Manhunter.
  • This is the last time Chief Manhunter will be seen until Super Battlers 4.
