The Power Pair
Goril Primus, Aaron’s
ultimate enemy, has escaped from UNITY custody. And with a newfound
determination, he’s once again coming after Aaron.
But no one could’ve possibly prepared themselves for Goril teaming up with Maurice’s ultimate enemy, Fenrir Lupus!
Now, Aaron
and the other Battlers are in for quite a fight, as the two powerful foes have
come together to form the Power Pair. And they get the early advantage when
they kidnap Aaron and Maurice. And their primary power sources are taken
from them upon their captures. Unless somebody else can save them from certain
consumption, this could be a fight the Battlers just won’t win. . . .
NOTES:
- This book is narrated
by Aaron, the Green Battler.
- Fenrir
Lupus, Maurice’s ultimate
enemy, returns after last being seen in Super
Battlers 3!
- Goril
Primus also returns after his previous appearance in Book
36.
- Goril finally escapes
UNITY’s custody at the beginning of this book, eating two UNITY agents on
his way out.
- Fenrir and Goril are
the second pair of ultimate enemies to join forces since Predator
and Chief
Manhunter formed the Deadly Duo in Book
27.
- Aaron
undergoes his Crystal
Advance!
- Aaron
learns a new spell — Typhoon!
- Aaron gets eaten a
whopping six times in this book — Goril eats him five times while Fenrir
eats him once! This is the most times a Battler has been eaten in one
book.
- Aaron
force-feeds himself to Fenrir, marking the first time a Battler has
force-feed him- or herself to an enemy.
- Vivian
DiCapa and Juliet
Kwarteng will each make their second appearances as “starring”
characters.
- Richard,
Jay, and Shauna
do not appear in this book. Deyon and Diahandra take sort of a backseat. Aaron, Maurice,
and Jon are the core focus.
- A narration first occurs
in this book as Juliet and Vivian occasionally narrate a few chapters. They
are the first two non-Battler characters ever to narrate parts of a
Battler book.
- Aaron and Maurice lose
the Tournament of Wonder in this book.
- This book marks the
first appearance of Juliet’s
brother, William.
- Goril still has his
sights set on eating all
of the Battlers, not just Aaron,
but in this book, his main focus is Aaron.
- Goril is defeated the
same way he was defeated in Super Battlers 3 — Aaron
tricks him into destroying the part of a pier he’s standing on, sending
him plunging into a harbor.
- It is a known fact
that apes can’t swim, which is what Goril’s “demise” is based on.
- It is revealed at the
end of this book that Fenrir has really been working for Chief Manhunter,
Cast freed Goril, and that William
is another one of Chief Manhunter’s pawns.
